The situation
Three trains were organised around portfolio management. Moving to agile teams meant changing how work was structured in Jira and, above all, how people planned and delivered it.
What I did
- Designed the Jira model for the trains: hierarchy, boards, sprints and reporting.
- Built the change plan: communications, training and support for each audience.
- Ran the transition train by train so each one could learn from the last.
- Documented the new ways of working in Confluence.
The result
More than 600 people across three trains now plan and deliver as agile teams, in a Jira model they share. [Add a result: time to transition, adoption, predictability.]
